Agree before you sign
- How rent is split, especially for unequal rooms
- How utilities and shared supplies are paid
- Guests, quiet hours and chores
- What happens if someone moves out early
Know the lease
If you all sign the lease, each of you may be responsible for the full rent if someone doesn't pay. Put your roommate agreement in writing.
